Environment

EVerything that surrounds us is referred to as our environment. It includes living, non living, natural or manmade things. Our natural environment includes trees, bushes, gardens, rivers, lakes, air etc. Ancient humans lived closer to the natural environment and therefore they lived healthier and longer. But today we are surrounded by the artificial environment that we have created for ourselves – buildings, air conditioned rooms, streets, shopping complexes, vehicles emitting poisonous gases, dust etc.

It would hardly require a second thought to conclude that this self made artificial environment of ours is a harmful creation. Not only we are breathing pollution but also doing considerable damage to nature, in our expedition to grow materialistically, further aggravating the situation. The more we move away from our natural environment, the more we move away from health and longevity. In the following essays we will discuss in details, the meaning and significance of environment and how it could be protected.

Fashion

Fashion is just a style of living with some changes in person’s outlook according to the current trend. To be trendy and fashionable, people are changing their style of dressing, talking, living and behaving completely according to the current fashion trend.

Sometime it is just people’s own wish to maintain themselves according to the trend but sometime they are required to do it because of their professional working area where it is demanded to be fashionable and trendy like in glamorous industry or entertainment industry where models, actors and actresses are require to do makeup on their face and dress up according to the current fashion. Even also we can say that they set the new trend of fashion for all.

Impact of fashion generally falls on teenagers to young age people. College going students are much influenced by western culture. Girls prefer to wear jeans and skirts with short tops along with different hair styles, and boys like to wear T-shirts and jeans with different haircuts.

Coloured hair, shaky jeans, difficult to understand languages and unmatchable accessories are also the part of trendy fashion now a days. To be fashionable and maintaining current trend of fashion is not bad until it does not cross the limits which our society has decided for all.

Tik-Tok

I think to best understand Tik Tok you have to understand and look at it in the context of its predecessors – Musically & Vine.

I think Vine can be credited for essentially starting and popularizing the trend of short videos as independent pieces of content. Of course YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc all existed before Vine, but Vine was really the tipping point for short videos (< 6s) to take off as a large and serious format in which people made content. You can view Musically as almost an extension of Vine, in that it allowed most of the same behavior (short videos) but it added this new layer of lip-syncing which had one massive change – it made the barrier to entry of creating content much much lower.

For a Vine to be “good” you both needed to have a good idea and good execution. The social cost of a bad Vine was fairly high (the same as say a bad tweet). This naturally meant that like most products Vine had a small number of creators and the majority of the users were just consumers. Musically changed this because while having a good idea and execution was still the best recipe for having a high quality Musically, the lip syncing feature made it easy to make videos that were explicitly supported by the mechanics of the app. So while you still had high quality Musically’s, many were just people lip-syncing songs, and there was little social cost to them since the app mechanics supported and encouraged this. This, I think is super important. It meant that the pool of creators in Musically was massive.

Feminism

Feminism is a social movement that denotes the imbalance in society because of the unequal status of man and woman who are like the two eyes in the face.

Like the bane of casteism in society, casteism which has created irrevocable divisions among people and which is the greatest social evil, like religious intolerance, which is a very unhealthy indication of man’s outlook, which creates cleavage between one segment of the population and another, the gender equation issue is assuming greater and greater proportions of gravity. The social awareness among women is the indication of society’s advancement.

Spirited women whose blood boils as they are mentally agitated by the domineering attitude of the men folk who have long been nurtured in the unjust feeling that they are superior, keep the flag flying. They want to flight to a finish and their unrelenting agitations for a change in the behavioral norms of the autocratic men folk will bring about a better order if not today but at least in the near future

Even now, even the enlightened aged women in society harass their daughters-in-law being far behind in time, being still in a bygone age when the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law clash was at its highest. The age-long confrontation between a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law seems to be endless. Sometimes, a husband turns wild with anger at his meek wife and spurns her and spits on her.

Feminism is a word that often finds a place in the newspapers and the magazines. Feminism is the subject of talk in the radio and the television. Though the feminist movement is very active in countries like the USA and Britain even there women are still given a back seat. It is generally said that women belong to the weaker sex. They are by nature gentle, soft-spoken and shy. But there are women who can outdo men in assertiveness, dominance and aggressiveness.

Follow Your Passion – Don’t Settle… Do What You Love!

I don’t believe it has been said any better than this, prior to his death in 479 BC!

Monday’s are usually the days that people dread after spending the weekend doing something that they enjoy. If you are passionate about what you are currently doing, then you will wake up in the morning looking forward to your day, even if it is a Monday.

It does make sense that if we love what we do, we will do it better, longer and with greater passion. There are entire books dedicated to this topic about following your passion, and yet there are so many people still sitting on the sidelines waiting to discover what their true purpose in life is supposed to be.

There have been many that have been fortunate enough to stumble upon their passions early in life knowing that, what they currently do, is what they were meant for.

On the other hand, there are many people that will spend their entire life working at their dead end job just to get by, all while questioning themselves whether there is more to life, knowing that there has to be something better.

Importance of Education

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT

Personality has many definitions in general opinions or in a psychologist’s options but personality word’s origin is from Latin word ‘personare’ whose meaning is ‘to speak through’. The word ‘personality’ is a broad term. It combines in itself the characteristics and qualities which give him a distinct identity. These things distinguish him from others. Thus, personality development is not an overnight task. It requires sufficient time and efforts to groom and shape personality. However, personality development is the outcome of so many factors which include will-power, confidence, concentration, memory, and smile, humour, to name a few.

Personality is the sum total of ways in which an individual reacts and interacts with others. Or personality is generally defined as the deeply ingrained and relatively enduring patterns of thought, feeling and behaviour. In fact, when one refers to personality, it generally implies to all what is unique about an individual, the characteristics that make one stand out in a crowd. Personality is the sum total of individual’s psychological traits, characteristics, motives, habits, attitudes, beliefs and outlooks.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
